James Mosley 1935–2025

James Mosley, one of the founding members of the Society and the first editor of its Journal, died on 25 August aged 90. Librarian of St Bride Printing Library in Fleet Street, London for more than forty years, James was also a visiting lecturer and professor at the University of Reading. His contributions to the study of printing history were recognised in recent decades by the American Printing History Association’s Individual Award and the Bibliographical Society’s Gold Medal.
